About the Song:

The song is called “Boys with Cake” - a body positive song that celebrates boys with thicc legs and perky glutes. It is also from the perspective of the LGBTQ+ community, so the art direction features 2 boys in the privacy of their home spending quality time with each other.

Important Notes:

Please note that this is a fun collaboration meant to promote community and to showcase your talent as an illustrator. Depending on how it turns out, Eli plans to compile all the drawing submissions and post it on their Instagram account. All the illustration artists will be tagged so as to use Eli’s platform to share some of your work. Please note that it is a non-paying collaboration. If chosen, the use of the artwork will be used for the song’s Spotify canvas and on social media. The final artwork will be chosen by Eli and a few of his music collaborators.

Artistic Concept:

2 people (Person A & Person B) in a room of your choice. They can be laying on the bed, on the floor or on the couch. The setting/backdrop is entirely up to you but it should be a chill, comfy vibe between the 2 people. The detailing in the decor is also up to you but it would be great if it was futuristic. That said, the primary focus is on the story between the 2 people in the room. So the setting/backdrop is context and the amount of additional focus is up to you.
Person A is laying on their stomach. They can be in boxers, briefs or have bare butt cheeks.
Person A must be wearing only a backwards cap (either a snap back or baseball cap) and gaming on a hand-held console (could be a phone or a PS).
Please note the song is about body positivity so Person A has to have ample glutes and thicc thighs (it’s part of the concept of the song)
If you decide to add feet for Person A, they should be in white socks
Person B (representing Eli) is laying on his back with his head resting on the side of Person A’s butt cheek. (Using Person A’s butt cheek as a pillow)
Person B could either be:
- writing a song (for example - pen in hand and holding sheet music in the other with some other sheets of paper close by. It’s entirely up to you but there could even be headphones or a keyboard nearby)
- Comfortably asleep
-Just looking away into the distance
Person B should have short blue hair, be shirtless and in white underwear (either briefs or boxer briefs) or in some type of jeans or pants.
If you decide to add feet for Person B, they should be in white socks with up to 3 strips at the top of the sock
Bonus points if you add a small dog near Person B (This would represent Eli’s dog, Fe)
Please incorporate the song title in the drawing. It can be anywhere and any size, as long as it’s there
Please include your signature somewhere in the drawing but make it fun and uniquely placed but please make sure it doesn’t overwhelm the artistic concept
Overall color scheme is up to you. It can even be all pen/pencil with shading, in monochromatic colors, or full color. The color scheme should reflect the chill, cosy and intimate vibe of the 2 characters in the room. The one important color to add is the blue hair for Person B.
Below is a mood board for your reference but the comic drawing style is entirely up to you.
