Biography
Eli began his musical pilgrimage at a young age, and took his passion for music with
him all through his college years in Toronto, Canada. In Canada, Eli was signed with
Eleanor Fulcher Model & Talent Agency, who landed him in a nation wide campaign for a
Canadian telecommunications company. Recognizing his potential as a model / artiste, the
agency also sent Eli to Los Angles for The International Modeling and Talent Association

Following his graduation from York University, and national service in Singapore, he was
placed by then CEO of EMI S.E.A. Hans Ebert, in Singapore’s Hip-Hop and Rock label
Chynahouse. Responsible for chart topping music acts in Singapore like Urban Exchange
and Parking Lot Pimps, it was there that Eli worked and produced tracks for Disney
(Asian-version remix of High School Musical's theme song "Breaking Free"), Wang Lee
Hom (Multi-platinum selling Taiwan artiste) , Wilber Pan (Multi-platinum selling Taiwan
artiste) and The Gorillaz (Un-released EMI remix of their smash hit "Feel Good Inc.").
Attempting to explore how music could be used for Education, Eli left the label and started
his production company Zai Studios. And in late 2009, Eli had his first major hit song.
Intended for a Sunsilk commercial, Eli along with producer Yuen, teamed up to write and
produce an Electro-pop track for multi-platinum selling Filipino artiste Sarah Geronimo.
The song “Record Breaker” was released with the commercial at the end of 2009 and
due it its overwhelmed response, sparked Sarah Geronimo’s “Record Breaker Concert” in
2010.
2011 saw the major transition of Eli from producer, to performer. Albeit having performed
throughout the years (Eli was even flown out to Dubai to sing for Singapore's National
Day), Eli burst onto the Singapore entertainment scene in 2011. The Singapore public
saw Eli in the Singapore Arts Festival short film “I Want To Remember” directed by award
winning Singaporean director, Royston Tan. At the same time Eli also made his theatre-
stage debut in Singapore's hit summer play, “Beauty Kings”. Written by multi- talented,
award winning, veteran entertainer Dick Lee, Eli was cast as the “himbo” part- time
model, “Don”, Eli charmed the audience and left them in stitches night after night in their
15-show run. Eli was also recently cast for an episode in the second season of hit TV-
series “Point of Entry”. The show is filmed and broadcast by Singapore's television station,
Mediacorp.
Amidst all of this, something was amiss. Eli felt an intrinsic need to create; a need to share
his stories and music with the world.
Thus on 11th March 2012, Eli finally launched his debut album, ‘Revolt’.
A take on the current state of society and shaped through his own experiences growing
up in Canada and Singapore, ‘Revolt’ brings forth a message of love and self-acceptance
through Eli’s unique brand of electro-pop. Eli poured his soul into this very first album,
which manifests soundscapes that were created across various phases of his life. ‘Revolt’
is Eli’s confessional that rallies for change; a change that allows passion to take
precedence over prejudice.
So Revolt and take a stand, because conformity favors only the weak.
